meet EMMY & THE “EMMYPIRE”
As the owner of Blush Bridal Boutique, Emmy Gorman has changed the world of bridal and formalwear in the Midwest over the last decade. After her own lack-luster wedding gown shopping experience in 2006, she decided to do something to change how brides found their dream gown. She believed every bride should have an intimate and unique gown shopping experience; celebrated as a life moment, and not like a regular shopping transaction.
Since opening the doors of Blush Bridal in 2012 as a special order boutique, to expanding our offerings with Refined Bridal Co.’s in-stock sales mode in 2022, and now revolutionizing the prom, pageant, and formalwear shopping experience with Jewel, Emmy’s ventures—lovingly referred to as the “Emmy-pire” by her team—are bringing fierce fashion, exceptional service, and joyful celebration to all of life’s biggest and best-dressed moments.
Emmy is dedicated to providing spaces where all can feel welcomed and embraced exactly as they are, and over the last decade and counting as a business owner, she has worked to empower thousands of women in our community. Through employment, through fundraising and community events, and by providing brides and shoppers with truly meaningful life moments. Emmy continues to find new ways to impact the community positively and change how people view the bridal & formalwear industries. She has always said that any store can have beautiful gowns, but we at Blush, Refined, and Jewel, have the experience.
While being a business owner and leader, she is also a wife and busy mom of two boys. She loves to garden, travel and spend time with friends. In her words:
"Mostly I enjoy planting things and watching them grow, whether flowers in planters, employees in the workplace, veggies in the garden, or businesses in new communities. I love placing little seeds, sitting back and watching them blossom."
